Ideolab’s Use of Google and YouTube User Data
In addition to the general YouTube API functionality described above, Ideolab allows users to connect authorized Google or YouTube accounts and use selected YouTube content within Ideolab.
Google User Data Accessed by Ideolab
Depending on the permissions granted by the user and the Ideolab features being used, Ideolab may access:
- YouTube channel identifiers, channel names, channel descriptions, channel thumbnails, and channel URLs;
- Channel statistics, including view counts, subscriber counts, and video counts;
- YouTube video information, including video IDs, titles, descriptions, thumbnails, publication dates, video links, and available video statistics;
- Captions, subtitles, or transcripts associated with videos selected or authorized by the user, when available;
- Basic Google or YouTube account identifiers required to connect the authorized account to the user’s Ideolab account; and
- Google OAuth access tokens or refresh tokens required to maintain the connection authorized by the user.
Ideolab only accesses Google user data that is required to provide the features requested by the user and permitted by the Google authorization scopes displayed during the account connection process.
Ideolab may use Google or YouTube user data to:
- Connect and authenticate a user’s authorized Google or YouTube account;
- Display connected YouTube channels and videos within Ideolab;
- Allow users to monitor YouTube videos performance analytics related information into Ideolab;
- Organize, search, summarize, analyze, or generate insights from YouTube content selected by the user;
- Create Ideolab resources, project materials, or other user-requested outputs based on selected YouTube content;
- Maintain, secure, and troubleshoot the connection between Ideolab and Google or YouTube; and
- Prevent fraud, misuse, unauthorized access, or security incidents.
Ideolab does not use Google user data for targeted advertising or sell Google user data.
Ideolab Sharing, Transfer, and Disclosure of Google User Data

Ideolab may share or permit the processing of Google user data only in the following limited circumstances:
